POST 14/63: ADMINISTRATION CLERK – ASSET CONTROLLER

Salary:
R237 453 – R279 708 per annum (Level 05)
The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement.

Centre:
Eastern Cape Division of the High Court: Makhanda


Requirements:

  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification recognised by SAQA
  • No experience required
  • A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage

Assessment:

  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a pre-entry practical exercise to assess technical and generic competencies

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel)
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good time management
  • Telephone etiquette

Duties:

  • Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Court
  • Maintain a complete, reliable, and accurate asset register for departmental assets
  • Conduct physical verification of assets to ensure accuracy and existence
  • Identify and report:
    • Lost or stolen assets
    • Damaged, obsolete, redundant, or underperforming assets
  • Monitor leased assets and track expiring contracts
