Driver Vacancy – Mountain Zebra National Park
Position: Driver
Reporting to: Hospitality Services Manager
Location: Mountain Zebra National Park
Note: The successful candidate will reside داخل the park
Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Valid driver’s licence with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
- Occupational Health and Safety experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a professional driver/messenger
- First Aid training
Responsibilities:
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations
- Adhere to SANParks Fleet Management SOP and Code of Conduct
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Identify and report safety defects
- Ensure workplace safety measures are followed
- Operate vehicles according to licence and PDP requirements (National Road Traffic Act)
- Provide driving services for staff, including chauffeur duties when required
- Keep vehicles clean, presentable, and roadworthy
- Report vehicle defects, incidents, and accidents
- Monitor fuel and oil levels of vehicles
- Transport staff and school-going children
- Maintain driver log sheets, trip permits, and mileage records
- Perform annual maintenance scheduling and monthly inspections
- Handle general administrative duties
- Provide professional service and share general park information with customers
- Perform general worker duties
- Carry out ad-hoc tasks as required
Remuneration:
- Based on Paterson Grade B2
- Includes basic salary, allowances, and benefits as per SANParks HR policies
