Requirements

- Previous experience working with wild and large animals (recommended)

Duties
- Clean workstations and dispose of infectious material
- Clean predator cages, stables, and bomas
- Remove bedding and wash floors and walls of animal holding facilities
- Maintain biosecurity standards
- Operate incinerator and record disposal of waste
- Care for animals/birds and report any problems
- Supply correct food to animals in quarantine
- Report illness immediately and record daily health parameters
- Perform basic animal husbandry tasks
- Maintain quarantine grounds, gardens, and perimeter fence
- Mow lawns, trim edges, and remove vegetation from fences
- Remove waste and foreign objects from premises
- Inspect electric fences daily to ensure proper functioning
- Assist with clinical work and necropsies
- Assist with game capture operations
- Carry equipment and tools
- Assist with carcass incineration
