Requirements:
- NQF Level 4 Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent)
- PSIRA Grade A (Professional registration)
- National Key Point Training Certificate
- Firearm Competency Certificate
Knowledge & Skills:
- Understanding of the National Key Points Act (Act 102 of 1980)
- Knowledge of:
- Labour Relations Act (Act 66 of 1995)
- Criminal Procedure Act (Act 51 of 1997)
- South African Constitution
- Strategic Intelligence Act
- Knowledge of Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS)
- Threat and risk assessment skills
- Investigation and interviewing skills
- Knowledge of physical security and shift operations
- Understanding of asset and information protection principles
- Knowledge of public sector legislative and policy frameworks
- Basic understanding of financial, programme, and project management
- Policy development and implementation knowledge

Duties:
- Control movement of people, vehicles, and goods in and out of the National Key Point (NKP)
- Permit or deny access as required
- Respond to security incidents, including arrest of unauthorized individuals where necessary
- Conduct surveillance and monitor premises and perimeter security
- Ensure no unauthorized removal or entry of equipment, documents, or goods
- Maintain compliance records and log all incidents in occurrence books/registers
