FOOD SERVICES AID (Post 24/36)

Requirements
- Minimum ABET qualification.
- No experience required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal).
- Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment.
- Willingness to work shifts.
- Good interpersonal skills and punctuality.
Duties
- Operate kitchen appliances and equipment.
- Prepare meals and snacks according to ration scales and the daily menu.
- Assist with serving and dishing up meals.
- Assist with food preparation during field exercises.
- Clean meal trays in hospital wards.
- Set up bedside tables for patients and transport meals using food-warming trolleys.
- Check that special diets and correct meal portions are provided before food leaves the kitchen.
- Serve tea and coffee to patients.
- Collect dishes after meals and return food trolleys to the kitchen.
- Wash patients’ water bottles and provide fresh drinking water daily.
- Mop kitchen floors after every meal.
- Clean cupboards and walls weekly.
- Ensure diet lists are delivered to the kitchen on time.
