POST 13/187: INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME (2026–2028)


Overview:

The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) invites unemployed graduates to apply for its 24-month Internship Programme.

Duration:
01 July 2026 – 30 June 2028

This programme aims to provide qualifying candidates with practical skills, knowledge, and experience to enhance their participation in the labour market.

The dtic seeks aspiring public servants who align with its vision of a dynamic, industrial, and globally competitive South African economy driven by inclusive growth, development, decent employment, and equity.


Stipend:

R7 860.50 per month
(Stipend is based on the highest qualification at the time of appointment)


Centre:

  • Sunnyside, Pretoria

Requirements:

Applicants must be:

  • Unemployed South African graduates
  • In possession of a tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6 or higher)
