POSITION: Groundsman (Ref No: AFBHPST/12/13/26/02) – 6 Posts Available
SALARY:
R144 024 – R169 656 per year (Level 02)
LOCATION:
AFB Hoedspruit, Limpopo
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum ABET qualification
- No experience required
- Skills and competencies:
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of health and safety
- Basic knowledge of maintaining simple machinery
- Ability to use hand tools and cleaning equipment
- Ability to operate cleaning machines
- Ability to perform routine tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
DUTIES:
- Cultivate and maintain garden areas
- Prepare soil for planting
- Maintain flower beds and other areas by:
- Fertilizing
- Irrigating
- Weeding
- Pruning
- Mow lawns and trim edges
- Load and unload equipment and materials used on the grounds
- Irrigate lawns
- Remove refuse from the area
- Load refuse onto trucks for disposal or burning
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of unit areas
