Requirements
- ABET Certificate
- A higher qualification will be an added advantage
- Relevant experience in a similar environment will be an added advantage
Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic use of gardening equipment and tools
- Lawn care and general maintenance practices
- Basic knowledge of maintaining government water infrastructure and facilities
Duties
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as:
- Weed control and gardening
- Painting
- Maintenance of firebreaks
- Herbicide application
- Conduct routine inspections of departmental infrastructure
- Maintain water infrastructure (canals, pipelines, dams, buildings, and surrounding areas)
- Report faults, defects, and safety hazards to supervisors
- Load and offload equipment
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations
- Assist with other general duties as required
